What We Delivered
- Web-based alumni platform with authentication and access control
- Scalable backend architecture with structured group segmentation
- Cloud deployment pipeline from development to production
- Role-based access control and secure session management
Why It Matters
For a globally distributed alumni community with no central digital home, this platform became the infrastructure for connection. Members across different countries now have a secure, structured way to communicate, organise, and engage — built to handle growth as the community expands.
The Challenge
Akora2G needed a digital platform to connect nearly 500 alumni globally — people spread across different countries with no centralised way to communicate, organise by house and class group, or engage with their community. The system had to handle structured user relationships, enforce access control, and scale as the community grew.
The Solution
JS Nexus designed and built a web-based alumni platform from the ground up: a scalable backend architecture with structured group segmentation (House, Class, Year Group), role-based access control, secure authentication and session management, and a cloud deployment pipeline from development to production. Every layer was built with security embedded, not added later.
The Outcome
A production-ready community platform connecting Akora2G members across the world — giving them a secure, structured digital home built to grow with their community.
We needed more than just a website — we needed a home for our community, and JS Nexus understood that from day one. They built Akora2G into a fully featured platform — house-based groups, an alumni directory, forums, event management, and a gallery — everything our year group needed to stay connected across borders and decades. What impressed us most was how well they grasped the social and cultural context behind what we were building. It wasn't just technical delivery; it was genuine partnership. The platform is live, our community is growing, and we're proud of what we have. We're only getting started — and we're glad JS Nexus is part of that journey.
